For the third season in a row, the Edmonton Oil Kings are the Central Division champions. With a record of 19-2-0-1, Edmonton had a points percentage of .886 and can do no worse than .848. They also have the least number of losses of all WHL teams, finished or currently still playing. Edmonton’s final game will be on Thursday, May 6th as they take on the Medicine Hat Tigers.

Forward Tristen Robins (150GP, 52G, 70A with Regina and Saskatoon ’17-’21) has been recalled by the San Jose Sharks to serve on their minor league squad (San Jose Barracuda). Through 16 games this season with the Blades, Robins scored 10 goals and added 13 assists. He also got into two games with the Barracuda earlier this season. The Sharks selected Robins in the second round of the 2020 NHL Draft.

Defenseman Dillon Heatherington (247GP, 13G, 74A with Swift Current ’10-’15) has parted ways with KHL club Barys Nur-Sultan. A 2013 second-round pick of the Columbus Blue Jackets, Heatherington played 41 games with Barys Nur-Sultan, scoring twice and adding five assists. Heatherington has played 11 NHL games in his career, posting two assists.
