The Austrian ice hockey association has set the course for the future. In the past few weeks, people have dealt intensively with the re -occupation of the management of the ÖEHV. This takes over Alexander Helwig on October 1.
At the beginning of July, the ÖEHV announced that the office of the ÖEHV was being reorganized and that one would like to give new impulses in particular in the areas of marketing, sponsorship, event management and sales. Alexander Helwig corresponds to this requirement profile almost perfectly due to his qualifications.
A few years ago, the 29-year-old completed his master’s degree in Business Administration at the University of Amsterdam. In the areas of process optimization and project management, Alexander Helwig has been very successful with Amazon, New Yorker and XXXLutz in recent years, optimizing processes, identified growth opportunities and designed partnerships to promote growth, innovation and market leadership.
Alexander Helwig not only brings a great affinity for sport, he also currently completes the course “Diplom football manager” of the Austrian Football Bundesliga, which among other things focuses on club law, leadership, financing and communication.
With the promotion of the women’s national team to the top division and the men’s move-in into the quarter-finals at the 2025 World Cup, the Carinthian takes over the association at an absolute high. The aim is to implement these successes into new, strong partnerships.
Other priorities include the successful design and implementation of the home games of the Austrian national teams, the merchandising, TV and live streaming, as well as a strong integration of the funding agencies, partners and sponsors of the ÖEHV.
