After over a decade at the EC Red Bull Salzburg, national player Paul Stapelfeldt dares to start a new beginning. The 1.96 -meter -tall defender joins the Graz99ers for the new season and brings the experience of four championship titles to Styria.
The giant not only leaves the series master, but also the family environment in Salzburg. In Graz, the 26-year-old should make an important contribution to the sporting upswing with his physical presence and routine. “I noticed that the time for something new is now,” he told opposite
Laola1. “Changes are important to develop further.”
The first training session in the new home was already convincing him: “For the first day, the intensity was really high. I think great is coming up this year.” Stapelfeldt hopes for a larger role and wants to shine with robust defensive work and leadership qualities.
The big goal of the 99ers is qualification for the Champions Hockey League. This requires at least third place in the basic round of the ICE Hockey League. Stapelfeldt is convinced: “I want to make my contribution to a maximum successful year.”
