Graz99ers don’t give Ferencvaros Budapest a chance!

The Moser Medical Graz99ers started the new year with an easy 6:1 home win over FTC-Telekom.

The Moser Medical Graz99ers celebrated a clear 6-1 home win against Ferencváros Budapest and started the new year successfully. After conceding an early goal – the fastest of the current season – the home team increasingly took control and decided the game in the second third at the latest.

Budapest took the lead after just nine seconds, but Graz was unimpressed and quickly found its way into the game. The 99ers created several chances and got their deserved equalizer shortly before the first break thanks to a deflection from Manuel Ganahl.

The game initially remained balanced in the middle period before Graz took the lead for the first time. Ganahl made it 2-1 with his second goal (35th), just a little later Lukas Haudum increased it to 3-1. A power play goal from Josh Currie just before the second intermission gave the team a comfortable 4-1 lead.

The home team didn’t let anything go wrong in the final third either. Chris Collins and Nick Bailen each scored in the power play and made the final score clear 6-1. Graz controlled the game until the end and confidently achieved victory over time.
