Olimpija Ljubljana won the ORF live game at EC-KAC 4-3 after a penalty shootout. The high-class game in front of a sold-out house began with the home team taking the lead through Thomas Hundertpfund. The Dragons countered with a goal from Marcel Mahkovec before David Waschnig gave the KAC the lead again in the middle period – the 18-year-old’s first goal in the win2day ICE Hockey League. Boychuk equalized again in the final third. In an intense final phase, the Klagenfurt team took the lead again when they were outnumbered, but Olimpija quickly hit back in the subsequent power play. After a scoreless overtime, the Slovenians scored the decisive try in the shootout. This means Olimpija remains second, two points behind league leaders Pustertal. A series of five wins in a row ended for the KAC.
