From May 15th to 31st, 2026, the 2026 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship will take place in Zurich and Friborg, an ice hockey festival that will attract fans from all over the world. Austria will play all of its group games in Zurich and will face Great Britain, Hungary, Latvia, hosts Switzerland, Germany, Finland and world champions USA from Saturday, May 16, 2026. From May 15th to 31st, 2026, the 16 best national teams in the world will fight for the world championship title in 64 games. The venues are the modern arenas in Zurich and Friborg, which offer perfect conditions for thrilling duels on the ice and an exciting atmosphere in the stands and in the official fan zones.
