The Boston Bruins literally dismantled the New York Rangers 10-2 at the TD Garden and inflicted the guests’ heaviest defeat of the current season.
Led by Marat Khusnutdinov, who scored four goals, and Pavel Zacha with a hat trick, the Bruins celebrated an impressive victory. David Pastrnak shone as an assist provider with six assists.
Although the Rangers took the lead early on, Boston turned the game around within a very short time and dominated them for long stretches. The match was already decided in the second third, Rangers goalie Jonathan Quick was substituted after conceding six goals. With three more goals in the final period, the Bruins completed the double-digit debacle.
