HC Bozen turned around a 1:2 deficit at Fehervar in the final period of the game and ultimately won 4:3. Shane Gersich became the match winner with two goals.
HCB Südtirol Alperia returned after three recent defeats against Hydro Fehérvár AV19, but needed a show of strength in the final section. The guests from Bolzano had the better start, taking the lead in the first section through Daniel Mantenuto. In the second period, however, the Hungarians came into the encounter better and turned it around with two goals within 30 seconds. First, Istvan Terbocs prevailed strongly on a break-away. Immediately later, Janos Hari completed an advance to make it 2-1. But Bolzano came back impressively in the final section. First, Brad McClure scored the quick equalizer before Shane Gersich scored the supposed winning goal three and a half minutes before the end. But Fehérvár rose again and equalized again just a minute later. Less than a minute before the end, Gersich struck again and secured the three points for Bozen. The South Tyroleans thus moved level with EC Red Bull Salzburg in third place in the table.
