With a playful and fighting performance that was convincing well into the third period, the EC-KAC secured a 5-3 away win at HCB Südtirol on Wednesday evening.

Post Game Comment from Head Coach Kirk Furey:

“I’m very happy with the performance of our entire team today, of course we conceded a few goals, but HCB Südtirol is a strong team. A few things went against us today, but we fought through it and killed a lot of penalties in a place where it’s never easy. Overall, we were the better team today, you can’t deny that. We fought well in our own zone, had a strong goalie in Sebastian Dahm and learned the lessons from that Pre-scouting was also well implemented. As I said, there was a lot of headwind, but the boys stood their ground and showed the kind of commitment that has brought us many narrow victories in the last eight rounds.”
