Former KAC coach Mike Pellegrims has found a new challenge in Slovakia! The 57-year-old Belgian with Canadian roots will be on the boards at HK Poprad in the future and will take on the role of head coach.
Pellegrims is no stranger to the European ice hockey scene. In the 2016/17 season he managed the fortunes of the EC-KAC in the domestic league. After and before his time in Carinthia, the former defender worked as an assistant coach in the German Ice Hockey League (DEL) – including at Wolfsburg, Mannheim and Düsseldorf. Most recently, Pellegrims was on the boards at EC Bad Nauheim in the DEL2.
With the move to Poprad, Pellegrims is now taking the step into a new league. HK Poprad, one of the most traditional clubs in the Tipos Extraliga, is regularly one of the top teams in Slovakia.
