Despite strong numbers: Ex-ICEHL crack ends his career in the middle of the season!

Last year’s ICEHL striker Chase Berger surprisingly left the Aalborg Pirates in the middle of the season, thus ending his ice hockey career.

Berger moved from Fehérvár AV19 from the ICEHL to Denmark in September 2025. In Hungary, the 30-year-old scored 18 points in 37 games and thus fell short of expectations, which is why the collaboration ended after just one season.

Berger showed strong performances in Aalborg: he collected 26 points in 24 games and quickly became popular with fans and teammates. The departure is due to personal reasons and commitments in North America, as the club explains in a press release. Aalborg Pirates now have to find a replacement for him during the current season.
