After the clear 5-1 away win at the start of the final at HC Meran/o Pircher, HC Gherdeina valgardena.it has the chance to make it 2-0 in the best-of-7 series in front of their home crowd on Tuesday. So far in the current postseason they have won six of their seven home games. The game starts at 7:30 p.m. and the game will be broadcast live on Valcome.tv.
It was the perfect start for Val Gardena in the premiere final series against Meran. With a 5-1 away win at the start, they promptly secured home advantage. And the Furie is currently particularly impressive in front of the frenetic home audience. Of the previous seven postseason home games, they lost only once – in the quarterfinals to the Red Bull Hockey Juniors (2:6). The remaining six games were all won, and they never conceded more than two goals.

In the semi-final against Zell am See they only conceded two goals in three home games. Meran, on the other hand, has won five of its eight away games so far – most recently the all-important seventh semi-final game in Sisak with 3-2. They narrowly won 1-0 in the last direct duel at Val Gardena on January 31st. On October 25th, Val Gardena narrowly retained the upper hand 4-3 after extra time.
