The Austrian ice hockey team players Benjamin Baumgartner and Dominic Zwerger attracted attention in the Swiss National League with strong offensive performances and led their teams to important victories.
Benjamin Baumgartner became the absolute match winner in SC Bern’s game against the SCL Tigers. The ÖEHV striker played a key role in the narrow 4-3 win after extra time. Baumgartner scored the first goal of the game and also scored the decisive winning goal in overtime to make it 4-3. But that’s not all: Shortly before the end of regular time, when SC Bern needed an equalizer to make it 3-3, Baumgartner also contributed an important assist.
Zwerger also scores early
Dominic Zwerger was also able to shine with a strong performance: he paved the way for HC Ambrì-Piotta to a 4-2 home win against Fribourg-Gottéron. Zwerger scored the 1-0 lead and celebrated his ninth goal of the season. With the early goal, the man from Dornbirn laid the foundation for his team’s success in the home arena.
