ICEHL: Another two failures – but a new addition to VSV soon?

The VSV returned to winning ways after the debacle against the Graz99ers on Sunday. It continues on Friday, but two cracks will still be missing, but a new man could be on board.

VSV was ahead 3-0 after a quarter of an hour against Ferencvaros, but 16 minutes later they were suddenly 3-4 behind. But the Eagles showed morale and turned the game around, winning 5-4 in overtime thanks to Adam Helewka’s second goal of the season.

It was the seventh win of the season that brought Villach back into the top 6. It continues on Friday at HC Pustertal and victory number 7 should follow. Maxi Rebernig will still be missing after his cut, which has not yet healed, and the long-term injured Alex Wall. But this could now be replaced. A new defender could debut at VSV as early as Friday and take Wall’s place.
