Alpshl: First Sisak defeat / victories for Kitz, B’wald & Red Bull Juniors

The HC Gherdeina Valgardena.it ensured the surprise of the round on Saturday evening and added the first defeat of the defeat to the lead. After four opening victories, the Croatians conceded their first defeat of the season. At the same time, Val Gardena celebrated the third win of the season and climbed fourth in the table.

In an intensely guided game in front of 567 fans in the Pranive stadium, Gherdeina took the lead in the second third by Luca Biondi. Shortly afterwards, Simon Pitschieler increased to 2-0. Ivan Puzic was able to shorten in the power play in the final minute, but the home side defended the narrow lead to the final siren. While Sisak continues to lead the table with eleven points, Val Gardena, with eight points, shoved into the top field.

Broncos stay in the track of success

The Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan confirmed their strong early form and took the fourth win of the season with a 4: 3 home win against Cortina. The South Tyroleans are now tied with Sisak in second place and underlined their ambitions as the title candidate.

The Broncos laid the basis for success in the first third, which they won 3-0. Fabian Gschliesser, Franco Sproviero and Alex Zecchetto entered the scorer list. Cortina came up again through Alberto Colli, Tommaso Alverà and Andrea de Luca, but Bryson Cianfrone set the course for victory with the meantime. Thanks to the three, the Broncos already have eleven points on the account after five games.

Kitzbühel wrestles down

The Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel celebrated a 5-2 win over the Rittner Buam Skyalps and are now also at ten points. This means that the Tyroleans are still among the surprise teams of the season.

Led by double scorer Yoan Loshing, the eagles put on a lightning start and already led 2-0 after eleven minutes. Ritten was able to shorten in the second section by Jacob Crespi and Manuel Öhler, but Kitzbühel had the right answer with goals from Markus Hanl, Jakob Lippitsch and again. For Ritten it was already the third defeat in the fifth game of the season, making the Buam in the midfield of the table.

Salzburg beats Unterland

The Red Bull Hockey Juniors successfully returned in Ritten after the defeat. In the home game against the hockey Unterland Cavalier, the team of Head Coach Temu Levijoki prevailed 3-1 and jumped into the upper half of the table (fifth place).

Jesse Juhola gave the home side in the lead early before Fabian Baumann added in the middle third. Lowerland managed the connection goal through Villi Pisetta, but Nick Maul made the final score shortly before the end. The Cavaliers have been waiting for another victory for four games and remain with three points at the bottom of the table.

Bregenzerwald celebrates the second victory in series

The EC Bregenzerwald presented itself again after the first success of the season during the week and defeated HC Merano/O Pircher 5-2. The Vorarlbergers now have six points in the account and moved up to ninth in the table.

In Dornbirn, the home team was particularly convincing, three of the five goals fell in the power play. David König, Roberts Lipsbergs (2), Ben Grasser and Fabian Ranftl provided the gates of the forests. Daniel Gellon and Tommaso Traversa met for Merano, the eagles remain in the table cellar.

Asiago gets the first win of the season

The HC Asiago celebrated the first victory of the season at the guest performance in Jesenice. The Italians prevailed 4: 3 and gave the red lantern on the lowerland.

Gal Sodja Zalokar had put the Slovenes in the lead early, but Asiago was playing the game with goals from Filippo Rigoni, Lucas Chiodo, Ryan Valentini and José Magnabosco Aguirre. Jasa Jenko and Ahmet Jakupovic shortened for Jesenice, but in the end the premiere success for the guests was up for. Asiago is now in 13th place with three points, Jesenice remains eleven with four points.
