Playoff ticket solved: First AlpsHL club guaranteed!

The Red Bull Hockey Juniors celebrated a 5-3 away win at HC Gherdeina valgardena.it in the only Wednesday game of the Alps Hockey League and are therefore the first playoff participants in 2026.

The Red Bull Hockey Juniors won 5-3 away at HC Gherdeina and can no longer be pushed out of the top 5 places. The leaders of the Alps Hockey League started the match strongly and were already leading 2-0 after ten minutes – thanks to goals from Adrian Gesson and Maximilian Wurzer.

Gherdeina scored twice in the middle period, but Lukas Greil made it 4-2 in the final third. The home team was able to shorten the score again, but was no longer able to force overtime. The Red Bull Hockey Juniors finally made it all clear with an empty net goal and celebrated a 5-3 win.

While the Juniors are now five points ahead of the first chasing duo and are the first team to have qualified for the playoffs of the Alps Hockey League 2026, HC Gherdeina remains in ninth place in the table.
