The Moser Medical Graz99ers can look back on a perfect week: nine points from three games not only gave the Graz team a significant improvement, but also second place in the table. With the narrow 4-3 win against Innsbruck, the 99ers moved past champions Red Bull Salzburg and currently hold a three-point lead – with two games less.
A lot of things also come together historically. An internal club record has already been set with 87 points in the regular round, and another point would mean a new record. At the same time, spectator interest is booming: the current average of 3,426 fans per game significantly exceeds all previous values in the club’s history.
Youngsters convinced
Despite numerous failures, young players in particular have been convincing recently. Paul Reiner, Jakob Lippitsch and Lennart Braun contributed a total of five scorer points in the last three games and made impressive use of their opportunity. Sports director Philipp Pinter was proud of the brave performance of the talents.
Olympic break
The 99ers are now taking a short team break until February 15th, which will be rounded off with a team-building trip to the Olympic Games. As the “Kronen Zeitung” reports, President Jerich invites people to duels between the USA and Latvia, as well as the Czech Republic vs. France.
