Last year’s head coach of HC Innsbruck, Jordan Smotherman, has found a new employer.
The American, who was actually supposed to be behind the Tiroler Haie gang this season, terminated his contract in the summer for personal reasons. Now the 39-year-old is moving into women’s professional ice hockey: Smotherman will be assistant coach at the PWHL team Boston Fleet. In Boston, Smotherman meets a familiar face from Austria: national team player Theresa Schafzahl.
