In the first home game of the calendar year 2026, the Pioneers Vorarlberg will meet HC TIWAG Innsbruck in the West derby.
Third encounter
The two teams are meeting for the third time this season, with the Tyroleans winning the first two duels. In September the “Haie” won 3-2 in Feldkirch, in the Tyrolean capital the Nygard-Cracks got at least one point in a 3-4 win after extra time.
While the Pioneers recently celebrated a close and impressive away win in Bruneck against HC Pustertal, the Tyroleans lost their last five games. Vorarlberg are currently six points ahead of Innsbruck in the table.
Return of Luca Erne
New signing Luca Erne, who has been training with the team since Saturday and is eager to play, will also be taking part in the third West derby of the season. Defender Roni Allen is also set to make his comeback. However, Daniel Woger will still be missing, as will Yannik Lebeda.
