The Canadian striker
Maxim Trepanier
is looking for a club again. After his involvement with the
Ice Pirates Crimmitschau has officially ended, the 26-year-old is currently without a club – and is therefore available on the market again.
Strong scorer with an eventful career
Trépanier was long considered a strong offensive winger. Already in the junior league
QMJHL he showed his qualities with 147 points in 171 games. He later confirmed his scoring talent in university hockey and in Europe.
He had his best professional year to date in Denmark with Herlev, where he was one of the top players in the league with 50 points in 43 games. He was also able to go to Norway
Storhamar Hockey
convince and even secure the championship title.
Short guest appearance in the ICEHL
With correspondingly high expectations, Trépanier moved to the 2025/26 season
ICE Hockey League to
Ferencvarosi TC. There he was supposed to act as an offensive difference maker – but after just eight games and six scorer points, the collaboration ended again.
No restart in Germany
After the early exit from the ICEHL, he moved to the ICEHL
DEL2 to the Ice Pirates Crimmitschau. But there too, Trépanier was unable to build on his previous achievements.
In 19 games he only managed six points – a result that does not live up to the expectations of an import player.
Looking for a club again
With the confirmed separation from Crimmitschau, Trépanier is now once again without a contract. For interested teams, he still remains an exciting, if risky, profile: a player with proven scoring ability, but who has recently remained well below his potential.
