The EC VSV has recently stabilized in terms of play, but mentally there is still room for improvement. In the upcoming finals, new measures will also be taken off the ice: the injured captain Alexander Rauchwald is now actively supporting the coaching team around head coach Pierre Allard and assistant coach Marco Pewal behind the boards.
Rauchwald wants to be closer to the team, create a positive atmosphere and, above all, help the young players. The exchange with Allard is close, the captain is present in the hall every day. One thing is clear to him: Points must now be gained in the direct duels in order to achieve the goals.
In terms of sport, only newcomer Brett Budgell has so far fallen short of expectations, while only Johannes Tschurnig is missing in terms of personnel. The youngsters Dominik Prodinger and Julian Raspotnig are in the squad.
