Nashville won 3-0 on the ice of Pius Suter’s Canucks thanks in particular to Juuse Saros’ 27 saves.
Roman Josi signed the decisive pass on the last goal, marked as 2-0 in an empty cage, by Colton Sissons 31 seconds from the final siren. The Preds captain, who had a record of +2 at the end of this game, is now at 25 points in this 2024/25 exercise but “only” 2 in six matches since his return from injury.
The evening was more complicated for Pius Suter, present on the ice for two of Nashville’s three successes. Vancouver is also going through a bad patch, with two victories in its last eight games. But the Canucks (38 matches/44 points) are in the running for a place in the play-off, while the Predators (39/31) are still far from the mark.
Last in the Central Division with 3 points less than Nashville, Chicago also enjoyed the joys of victory on Friday, after a series of five defeats. The Blackhawks beat Montreal 4-2, thanks to 2 goals from Nick Foligno but without the help of Philipp Kurashev. The Bernese center was once again supernumerary in the Chicago camp.
