Two young ice hockey talents from Carinthia were able to cheer yesterday’s Friday about a special sense of achievement: Both David Waschnig in the dress of the KAC and Paul Sintschnig at the Villacher Eagles scored their first goal for the fighting team.
In the first preparatory game of the Klagenfurter against Olimpija Ljubljana, after a somewhat weary initial phase, the 19-year-old was cutting the red jackets in the 23rd minute with his premier gate onto the winning road. In the end, the KAC celebrated a 3-0 and thus a successful start.
VSV also had reason to be happy in Zell am See-despite a 3: 4 defeat after extra time against the Kassel Huskies. Hughes, Hancock and youngsters Paul Sintschnig, who was successful for the VSV for the first time, met for the blue and white.
