The Steinbach Black Wings Linz say goodbye to the international break with another win. The Upper Austrians had the upper hand against FTC-Telekom with 3-1 – it was Linz’s fifth victory en suite.
The successful run of the Steinbach Black Wings Linz continues. On Sunday, the Upper Austrians defeated FTC-Telekom 3-1 in front of over 4,200 fans and celebrated their fifth win in a row. It was the sixth defeat in a row for the guests from Budapest. Aku Kestilä initially gave FTC the lead in the 9th minute, but just two minutes later Brian Lebler equalized. In the 25th minute, Shawn St-Amant scored on the power play to give Linz the lead. Graham Knott made it all clear with an empty-net goal 74 seconds before the end of the game. In doing so, the Upper Austrians took revenge for the narrow 2:3 defeat in the first duel of the season in Budapest.
