Patrick Kudla from HC TIWAG Innsbruck was suspended indefinitely with immediate effect due to an incident during Friday’s game at the Vienna Capitals.
The exact duration of the suspension will be determined by the win2day ICE Hockey League’s Justice Committee and communicated at a later date. The 29-year-old Canadian will therefore also miss today’s Tyrolean away game in Graz.
This suspension arises from an incident during game #268 of the win2day ICE Hockey League, Vienna Capitals vs. HC TIWAG Innsbruck, on January 30, 2026.
The incident is being formally investigated and is currently under review by the ICE Hockey League Disciplinary Committee (Justice Committee), according to the win2day ICE Hockey League Game Book | I – Disciplinary measures, which provides, among other things:
• Relevant investigations will begin after the notice period has been completed with the aim of completing the procedure.
• Serious incident investigations may be placed “under review” for as long as necessary to adequately assess the case, with no defined maximum period.
• Incidents of this nature fall under the jurisdiction of the ICE Hockey League Justice Committee.
Accordingly, Patrick Kudla remains suspended from all further games in the win2day ICE Hockey League until the review is completed and the final decision on possible additional disciplinary measures is made. Once the review process has been completed, the final verdict will be communicated in due course.
