Dual citizen Nathanael Halbert will continue in the win2day ICE Hockey League next season. He has signed a new contract with his employer.
Halbert, who was born in Nottingham but also has Canadian citizenship, moved to Europe for the first time in 2021, when he joined Coventry Blaze. In 2023/24 he played for the Innsbruck Haie, for whom the 30-year-old was able to collect 19 points in 46 games.
After a year in Slovakia, the British national team defender returned to the ICEHL and signed for Olimpija Ljubljana. 34 appearances, four goals, 16 points and a +16 – that’s his stats line for the past season.
The Slovenians have agreed on further cooperation with the defender. This means the Dragons have four defenders with Halbert, TJ Brennan, Jan Cosic and Clayton Kirichenko.
