one of the top teams for years. Last season the club took second place after the regular round and was considered a hot candidate for promotion. All the more surprising was the early exit in the quarter-finals, which failed to meet the high expectations.
Strong performances despite relegation battle
McShane comes from league rivals
IF Troy-Ljungbywhich recently lost in the relegation duel against Vasteras and was relegated to the third division. Regardless of the difficult situation, the 25-year-old was one of the most striking players on his team and was able to consistently set an offensive tone.
Successful ICEHL past
Before his time in Sweden, McShane mainly made himself
Asiago hockey a name. Between 2022 and 2024 he developed into one of the league’s top scorers and collected as many points in 86 games – an impressive average.
Next career step
By moving to Kalmar, McShane is now taking the next step in his European career. In a team with clear promotion goals, he should take on a key role in the offensive game in the future.
