Yesterday the call-up to the National Hockey League (NHL) took place and that evening the first NHL game of his career awaited David Reinbacher from Vorarlberg. A special day that was also successful.
The Montreal Canadiens visit the New York Islanders and ultimately won 4-1. Reinbacher skated with Mike Matheson, did well and got a total of just over eleven minutes of ice time. He fired two shots at Isles goalkeeper Ilya Sorokin, and the Hohenems player was even able to record an assist in the 3-0 win by Alex Newhook.

So the debut in the best league in the world was a complete success. Thanks to their success, the Habs are now level on points with the Buffalo Sabres, who, however, have played one less game. The Canadiens’ last game of the season takes place on the night of Tuesday to Wednesday – then Reinbacher and Co. play against the Philadelphia Flyers.
