Top transfer: Scorer Matteo Gennaro is back in the ICEHL!

HC Bozen is sending a strong signal in the fight for a successful season: Shortly after signing defender Matt Cairns, the Foxes presented the next well-known newcomer, Matteo Gennaro. The 28-year-old Italian-Canadian is returning to the ICE Hockey League.

Gennaro knows the league very well: he played for Asiago over the past two seasons and impressed with 90 points (41 goals) in 89 games. The versatile attacker previously gained international experience in the AHL, the KHL, Slovakia and the Swedish second division. In 2022 he also celebrated the ECHL championship title.

After a summer injury that put him out of action for several months, Gennaro is now fully fit again. He is expected in Italy on Wednesday evening and is scheduled to train with the team for the first time on Thursday. He has also been part of the Italian national team squad since last year.
