The Austrian national defender Clemens Unterweger is likely to continue wearing the EC-KAC jersey in the future. Like the “Kleine Zeitung”, the signs are clearly pointing to a contract extension at the traditional Carinthian club.
The 33-year-old defensive player has been a fixture in Klagenfurt for years and is one of the most reliable defenders in the league. In the current season, which ended yesterday for the KAC against Fehervar, the defender collected a strong 30 points in 50 games.
An official confirmation from the club is still pending, but there are many indications that Unterweger will extend his contract and remain with the EC-KAC.
