After the squad planning has been completed, HCB South Tyrol Alperia is pleased to announce another new addition and confirmation for the coaching team. To support head coach Kurt Kleinendorst and Assistant Coach Fabio Armani, the white-red can count on a goalkeeper coach from Daniel Goller from this season. In the role of the athletic coach, Daniel Peruzzo was confirmed for the second season in a row.
The 43-year-old South Tyrolean Daniel Goller returns to Italy abroad after several years. His career as a goalkeeper coach started in Kaltern in 2007 and then led him to EV Bolzano and Merano. At the same time, he also looked after the Italian youth teams U20 and U18, partly also as an assistant trainer. In 2012 he worked with the HC Bolzano for the first time, and at an international level he looked after the Lithuanian national team as an assistant coach at the Olympic qualifications and the World Championships of the IB division. In 2015 he moved to the INL to the EHC Bregenzerwald as an assistant and goalkeeper coach.
In the following two seasons he returned to South Tyrol – first to Val Gardena, then to Sterzing. In 2022 he had experience in the Icehl for the first time as a goalkeeper coach of the Vienna Capitals. In the 2023/24 season, he worked with the Hungarian national team both in the DEL at the Nuremberg Ice Tigers and internationally: as a goalkeeper and video coach, he won the Magyaren Gold at the World Cup of the Division IA in Bozen. Last season he stayed in the DEL, this time at the Löwen Frankfurt, again in the double function as a goalkeeper and video coach.
For Strength & Conditioning Coach Daniel Peruzzo – as already mentioned – it is the second season in this function at HCB. The 40-year-old looks back on a long ice hockey career in which he grew up in the youngsters of the white-red and between 2003 and 2007 a total of 54 games played in Serie A for Foxes. He has been specializing in athletic training for eleven years now, initially supervised HC Eppan and also HCB since last year. His work will be of great importance throughout the season – especially at the beginning, when the Foxes start to the training camp in Corvara in Badia from Saturday, August 9th.
