HC Meran and Tommaso Traversa are now going their separate ways. As the club officially announced on Friday morning, the working paper with the experienced attacker was terminated early by mutual agreement.
A short guest appearance with strong numbers
Traversa only moved to Meran last summer and was considered one of the great hopes for the current season. In purely sporting terms, the chemistry seemed to be right: in 22 appearances, the 35-year-old collected an impressive 21 scorer points (10 goals and 11 assists). Despite this solid quota, the chapter in Merano now ends after just a few months.
Experienced hiking bird is looking for a new challenge
The eccentric Piedmontese looks back on an eventful career and is well known in the South Tyrolean ice hockey scene. Before his engagement in Meran, he stormed for HC Pustertal and Rittner Buam, among others.
In total, Traversa has the experience of 65 games in the ICE Hockey League. Both parties left it open why the breakup occurred despite the good points tally – the press release only mentioned an amicable separation.
