In February 2023, the KAC signed the Vorarlberger from EHC Olten and things have been going uphill ever since. Schwinger increased his scoring output year after year and this year had a strong 20 goals and 18 assists.

Now this is being rewarded: The 28-year-old, who has already made 41 appearances for the national team, has previously only received one-year contracts in Klagenfurt, but now that is about to change. As the “Kronen Zeitung” reports, Schwinger is said to have already extended his contract until 2028. Official confirmation from the Red Jackets is still pending.
