The HCI meets the Pioneers in the first match after the international break. There are great promotions for students. Today the regular season continues in the win2day ICE Hockey League.
The HC TIWAG Innsbruck-Die Haie welcomes the Pioneers Vorarlberg. The Sharks were able to recharge their batteries in the last ten days without playing. Striker Lukas Bär: “We also enjoyed the time away from the ice, but are now excited for the games again. We hope that we have carried the momentum from the last win in Ljubljana over the break and want to attack fully against the Pioneers. That will be difficult enough, the Pioneers are always a very unpleasant opponent.”
HCI top scorer Steven Owre is fully motivated before the duel against his former colleagues and warns about the current bottom of the table: “They are just behind us in the table and will give full throttle from the start. It shouldn’t take us long to get going, we have to be there from the first puck drop and then deliver for 60 minutes. Then we can get three points.” The Pioneers are currently one point behind the Haie in 13th place, i.e. at the bottom of the table. However, Vorarlberg have scored five times in the last ten games, including beating Salzburg and KAC.
