After an intensive opening week with three games and four training sessions, the next two tests will be on the preparatory plan for the Pioneers Vorarlberg next weekend. On Friday, August 29, the head of head coach Johannes Nygard will meet the Ravensburg Towerstars (DEL2). The next day there will be a league competitor in the Vorarlberghalle (August 30, 7:30 p.m.) to the next strength show: The Innsbruck sharks are guest in the country.
The focus is on your own way of playing
Head coach Johannes Nygard is satisfied with the previous progress of his team: “After the very intensive first week of the game with three games and four training sessions, we had two days for relaxation. I am very satisfied with the training intensity yesterday and today. Even if we meet an opponent from the league on Saturday, the full focus is on ourselves and our playing style. Disc laid. “
Nygard emphasizes that the team has already internalized many specifications from video coaching: “We are very satisfied with the progress. Many things work very well straight away, the players are hungry for improvement. There is also an excellent team dynamics – in the cabin, only players who are ready to give 100 percent every day.”
Louie Roehl is expected to celebrate his debut. So far, the American has been missing due to injury, but has been in training for a week and could now appear for the first time. It is still open whether the Pioneers training guest Leo Woborsky signs. A decision is made before the league start.
Youngster Mussbacher expected physical game
For defender Mark Mussbacher, the next two tests are important steps towards the championship start: “I expect a very physical game in Ravensburg, the DEL2 is very physical. This fits perfectly as a preparation for the ICE League. Of course there are one or the other little voting difficulties, but the mood and harmony in the team are excellent. It is a lot of fun to be part of the team.”
With a view to the development of the Pioneers, the 22-year-old is optimistic: “If you consider where we started at the beginning of the month, I am very good things that we will achieve our goals.”
Double test as trend -setting location determination
The duels with Ravensburg and Innsbruck offer the Pioneers the chance to test their progress in the game system and continue to work on the processes. While a physical opponent from the DEL2 is waiting on Friday, there will be an ICE League competitor on Saturday in Feldkirch. Both games are an important indicator for the remaining weeks of preparation.
