Big relief for Steven Strong: son Liam is over the mountain!

VSV crack Steven Strong’s son Liam was in mortal danger even before he was born. Thanks to a quick diagnosis and operation in Klagenfurt, the little boy is healthy today – this is what the “Kleine Zeitung” reports.

During a routine pregnancy check-up, it was discovered that Liam’s diaphragm had a malformation. Abdominal organs had gotten into the chest cavity, which severely impaired lung development. The doctors predicted a good prognosis and recommended treatment at the Klagenfurt Parent-Child Center. Liam was born by caesarean section in June 2025 and initially had to be artificially ventilated. Pediatric surgeons carried out the life-saving operation just two days after birth.

After several weeks in the neonatal unit, Liam was able to go home healthy.

Today he doesn’t need any medication and is developing according to his age. Regular checks are planned and a pulmonary function test is carried out at school age. The Strong family is relieved and grateful for the professional care: “Everything went incredibly professionally,” Steven Strong told the “Kleine Zeitung,” “we are very happy that Liam got through everything well.”
