The Steinbach Black Wings Linz win their third game in a row at HC TIWAG Innsbruck – Die Haie. This meant that the Linzers overtook the Tyroleans in the table and are now in 11th place.
The Steinbach Black Wings Linz were able to end their away curse and celebrate their first win in their seventh game away from home. At HC TIWAG Innsbruck they were down 2-0 after two periods, but the Upper Austrians turned the game around with four goals in the final period. Travis Barron scored the next goal in the 44th minute, Graham Knott (47th), Julian Pusnik (56th) and Ken Ograjensek (60th/EN) secured the 4-2 win. It was the third success in a row for the Black Wings, who are now in tenth place. For Innsbruck it was one of four defeats from the last five games.
