Transfermarkt: Graham Knott’s future has been clarified!

The months of speculation surrounding Graham Knott’s future are over: the top scorer of the Steinbach Black Wings Linz will remain with the Upper Austrians in the long term. During a fan meeting at the Linz AG Eisarena, it was officially confirmed that the Canadian had extended his contract early. The new working paper is scheduled to run until summer 2028.

Numerous interested parties from abroad

As we recently heard, the 29-year-old has had several lucrative offers from abroad in the past few weeks. The Slovakian runner-up HC Slovan Bratislava is said to have made particularly intensive efforts to secure the services of the offensive player. In the end, Knott consciously decided to stay in Linz.

Top performers for years

Since his move in 2022, Knott has been one of the Black Wings’ most important players. In 184 ICEHL games so far, the former second-round draft pick of the Chicago Blackhawks has collected a strong 188 scorer points. The 2023/24 season was particularly outstanding, in which he scored 58 points and recorded the best plus/minus value in the league (+37).

Last season, the versatile center and winger was once again one of Linz’s key offensive figures and scored 43 points in 48 regular season games.

Strong signal from the Black Wings

With the long-term commitment of their top scorer, the Black Wings are sending a clear signal for the coming years.
