The Champions Hockey League starts its next season on September 3rd. Europe’s ice hockey elite have been dueling there since 2014. Three ICEHL clubs will also be there. The seedings for the upcoming draw are now known.
For the seventh time in the league’s history, a Swedish club was able to take the crown of European club ice hockey. Frölunda was crowned champion for the fifth time. In the all-Swedish final they beat Lulea 3-2 after extra time. The Finn Jere Innala made the decision.
The new season is already casting its shadows
In exactly 105 days the first match day awaits the 24 participating teams. A week before the draw, the seedings were announced. In the first pot there are the defending champions and the champion clubs from Berlin, Friborg, Pardubice, Skelleftea and Tappara Tampere, the reigning national champions of the top leagues.

The Moser Medical Graz99ers, who won the win2day ICE Hockey League crown last season, find themselves in Pot B alongside the traditional club from Davos and the Kölner Haien. The KAC, as well as the Adler from Mannheim and the Swedish club Rögle ended up in Pot C, the EC Red Bull Salzburg is in Pot D.
