VSV coach Allard after the next defeat: “It hurts!”

Next game, next blow in the neck for the EC iDM heat pumps VSV. They held up well against HCB Südtirol Alperia for long stretches, but in the end they once again scored zero points.

The decline of the VSV continues unstoppably. The defeat against the Foxes from Bolzano was the ninth in the last ten games. As a result, the Draustadt team slipped to 9th place in the table. With 39 points you are only two points ahead of 11th place. You have to score points again as quickly as possible on the Drau.

Head coach Pierre Allard certainly imagined the first few weeks of his first position as head coach differently: “It hurts – we put so much into it this time,” the French-Canadian told the “Crown newspaper“. Youngster Paul Sintschnig also spoke up: “We try everything, we can’t get out of the tunnel.”

But you should get out of this as quickly as possible if you don’t want to fall out of the top 10. The tasks won’t really get any easier, because tomorrow, another top team, the Graz99ers, is coming to Villach. It is the third duel of the season between the two teams – the score in the “season series” is 1:1. After the encounter with the Murstadt team, there are still games against Innsbruck, Linz and Vienna until January 5th – with the Black Wings and the Capitals even direct duels for the top 10. So scoring points there is almost a must.

The displeasure of the Villach audience is growing noticeably: after the Füchse’s “go ahead” goal, some fans left the hall. A concert of whistles accompanied the final minutes. People are dissatisfied, especially with the upper floor. What helps? Probably only victories.
