An important personnel decision is imminent at Pioneers Vorarlberg. The contract of Latvian national team player Roberts Bukarts runs until the Olympic break at the end of January. According to “Vorarlberger Nachrichten”, it is currently unclear whether the 35-year-old will continue to wear the Montfortstädter jersey.
“It will then be decided whether he will stay for the rest of the season,” explains Pioneers managing director Lampert to the “Vorarlberger Nachrichten”. Bukarts only came to Vorarlberg during the current season and immediately made an impression. In 13 appearances so far, the experienced striker has contributed four goals and five assists and has thus proven to be an important factor in the offensive game.
A possible departure of the veteran would be a serious setback for the Pioneers, especially in the crucial phase of the regular season.
