Despite the early goal and twice deficit, the red jackets were able to secure all three points in the away game in Linz on Friday evening. A Muršak double pack paved the way to the Klagenfurt 3-2 success.
Both teams recently suffered defeats and made an anything but optimal start to the season. However, the KAC secured the “threesome” in Linz and the Upper Austrians then spoke of a “stitch in the middle of the heart”, because it was the fifth bankruptcy in a row for the Stahlstadt.
Post game comment from Head Coach Kirk Furey
KAC coach Kirk Furey commented on the game as follows: “Another not optimal start, but the boys fought and fought their way back in the opponent. It was not the most beautiful game, but in some phases we found our rhythm, which is never easy in Linz. Ultimately, we came to three points and more even the realization that we have to keep our game simply. Even mistakes make the opponents too many and good chances.
