Ex-goalie Olivier Roy shocked his last year’s employer HC Puster Valley with an Instagram post fed by several allegations. On hockey news-the Brunecker now counter and submit an exclusive statement.
At the beginning of June of the previous year, the HC Pustertal announced the commitment of the former Laibach, VSV and Fehervar goalie Olivier Roy. The commitment was short -lived. After only nine missions and an injury, it ended in early November through premature separation.
For Roy, almost three months later, it continued for short -term engagement in the DEL2 at the Eisbären Regensburg, for which he still played ten games. But two days ago he made an Instagram post, which leaves his former employer from Bruneck in no good light.
“Some asked me what happened last year and why the season at HC Pustertal was so miserable. We were so looking forward to pulling this beautiful place, but it was a mistake by me not to ask former colleagues how it was in recent years,” the 34-year-old begins his posting and then lists his experiences and various grievances as follows:
- Our family moved to an apartment with a huge mold problem that was never fixed.
- I got slight knee pain after a player fell on me, but still had to play even though the pain got worse.
- They decided to quit me during my knee’s rehab.
- After a contract resolving agreement came from the team, I was never paid the agreed amount in full.
Roy adds that his commitment to the HCP was the only one in ten years in ten years in which he had bad experiences.
Massive allegations against the HC Puster Valley, from which no problems with legionnaires have yet been known. We therefore asked those responsible for the HCP and asked for a statement.
Statement HCP CEO Schenk
This was followed by HCP CEO Jochen Schenk and reacted as a surprise and as follows: “With astonishment, we have taken note of the recent public statements by our former goalkeeper Olivier Roy. Even if we do without a comment on social media, we would like to explain a few facts to clarify:
- During his time at the HC Falkensteiner Pustertal, there were several irregularities in terms of the player’s professional behavior- including not adhered to appointments with the coaching and supervisory staff as well as striking deficits in the physical area on arrival in Bruneck.
- After the signature of his new employer, Mr. Roy traveled with a new goalkeeper equipment, which was owned by the HCP, and as a result with this equipment for his new club in the DEL2 played several games. He started a private trip to France without prior consultation with the company’s company vehicle.
- With regard to the living situation, it is also important to point out that the apartment was handed over in perfect condition. The mold that occurred later is due to Mr. Roy’s usage behavior. In addition, it is not clear why Mr. Roy wanted to remain in the apartment for weeks – even after the contract was terminated, if – as claimed – it did not meet expectations.
In addition, Schenk adds: “It is then very important to me that the HCP is known to always comply with all the contractual agreements. Olivier Roy were even provided with treatment and training options after the contract was terminated in order to create the best possible conditions for his further employment, which is why we are very disappointed with the publicly made statements.”
HCP looks into the future
The HCP wants to close this chapter and looks positively into the future. The wolves have developed year after year, their budget in the past five years and would like to reach one of the six fixed playoff places this year. Even you don’t let an Insta-Post of a former player get upset.
