KAC newcomer Josh Teves is celebrating his debut in EC-KAC today in Innsbruck – and is aiming for the championship title.
The KAC has signed Josh Teves, an experienced defender, who will wear the red jacket jersey for the first time today at 7:15 p.m. in Innsbruck. The 32-year-old Canadian was without a club after leaving Košice – the club decided not to have legionnaires in the future – and returned to Canada in the meantime due to the birth of his first child.
Teves didn’t have to think twice about the KAC’s offer: “The club has quality and tradition. I’m happy to be part of this team,” the Canadian told the “Small newspaper“. His claim is clear: “I want to win the championship title with Klagenfurt. The team has what it takes.”
Teves sees his greatest strengths in ice skating and therefore feels particularly comfortable on the larger European ice. He considers the ICE Hockey League, which he knows from his time in Bolzano, to be strong, balanced and varied – significantly more interesting than the Slovakian league.
Before today’s debut, the defender warns about opponents Innsbruck: “Young, fast, hungry and very strong in duels.” Nevertheless, he is optimistic: “If we play our game, we should win.”
