Shock message: national team striker Patrick Obrist ill with cancer!

No good news reaches us from Switzerland. Austro-Crack Patrick Obrist has cancer. The chances of recovery are “very good”.

A real shock, both the Dornbirner and for his employer, EHC Olten. The Austrian national team crack for the Swiss Club has been storming since 2016, but now there is a longer break.

Obrist has cancer and will undergo several months of therapy. The disease (lymph gland cancer) was discovered in the course of a medical routine examination.

“The treating doctors appreciate the chances of recovery as very good and we are convinced that Patrick Obrist also masters this challenge with his determination and positive strength,” said EHC Olten Managing Director Christian Roth in an official statement.
