Graz farewell? – New prospect for 99ers captain Holzer!

According to the latest information, there are many indications that Korbinian Holzer’s future will soon be decided. Instead of a contract extension with the
Graz99ers
The experienced defender could be facing a move to Germany.

Specifically, a commitment to the
Starbulls Rosenheim

in the
DEL2
increasingly likely – that’s what “Ice Hockey News” reports. Accordingly, the Upper Bavarians are said to be very interested in signing the 38-year-old veteran for the coming season. Holzer, who can look back on a long career including in the NHL, would fit the Rosenheim team’s requirements profile perfectly with his experience.

Just a few weeks ago there was talk of both a return to his homeland and a possible entry into the coaching business. Now, however, it seems that his active career will continue – but no longer in the ICEHL.

Last season, Holzer played 48 games for the Graz99ers, secured the title with the Styrians, recorded 11 points and was particularly impressive with his stable defensive work and his leadership qualities. A departure would mean a noticeable loss for the Graz team.

An official confirmation is still pending, but there are increasing signs that Holzer will continue his career in the DEL2.
