The game dates for the intermediate round in the Alps Hockey League have been set. The five teams that have already qualified for the playoffs will start the Master Round on Thursday, February 5th. The remaining eight teams will fight in two qualifying round groups for the pre-playoffs, in which the last three quarter-final tickets will be played. The Qualification Round begins on Wednesday with the game between EC Bregenzerwald and Rittner Buam SkyAlps.
The best five teams in the basic round have already secured their ticket for the quarter-finals. In the Master Round they will play from Thursday, February 5th to Saturday, March 7th (one return round each) for the pick and home right for the playoffs.
As winners of the basic round, the Red Bull Hockey Juniors go into the Master Round as league leaders with four bonus points, followed by defending champions EK Die Zeller Eisbären (3 bonus points), KHL Sisak (2 bonus points), HC Migross Asiago (1 bonus point) and the Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan (0 bonus points). The South Tyroleans only bought their ticket for the Master Round in the very last game.
At the start on Thursday, Zell am See and the Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan meet, and the juniors also play in Sisak. Asiago initially has no play.
Qualification Round divided into two groups
The Qualification Round starts with one game on Wednesday, February 4th, followed by two matches on Thursday. Divided into two groups with four teams each, the three best teams in each group qualify for the pre-playoffs, in which the remaining three playoff places are played in a “best-of-3” mode (1st QRA – 3rd QRB; 2nd QRA – 2nd QRB; 3rd QRA – 1st QRB).
In the Qualification Round there will also be a return round. The final match day will take place on Thursday, February 26th. This is followed by the pre-playoffs. At the same time, the Master Round teams play their remaining games. The bonus points in both groups were awarded according to the 3–2–1–0 system.
Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel is top seed in Qualification Round A. The Tyroleans will meet HC Meran/o Pircher at the start on Thursday. In the Qualification Round B, EC Bregenzerwald takes the top position. Vorarlberg will welcome the Rittner Buam SkyAlps on Wednesday. SG Cortina Hafro and the Hockey Unterland Cavaliers will also be in action on Thursday. HC Gherdeina valgardena.it will not enter the intermediate round until Saturday. HDD Jesenice only on Saturday, February 14th.

Quarterfinals start on March 10th
The playoff pick will follow the pre-playoffs, which will be held from Tuesday, March 3rd to Saturday, March 7th. The first quarter-final matchday is scheduled for Tuesday, March 10th. The champion of the tenth Alps Hockey League season will be determined by Saturday, April 25th at the latest.
