The Moser Medical Graz99ers celebrated a 4-1 home win against HC Falkensteiner Pustertal in front of a sold-out crowd and thus secured their second place in the table. Despite several failures, the home team dominated the game for long stretches and didn’t let anything go wrong in the final third. Graz got off to an ideal start and took the lead after just 44 seconds in the power play through Nick Bailen. Shortly afterwards, Pustertal had the chance to equalize with a penalty, but left it unused. A little later, the outnumbered guests managed to equalize before the 99ers hit back before the first break: Kilian Zündel scored his first goal of the season to make it 2-1. In the middle section the home team controlled the action and extended their lead. After goalie Maxime Lagacé left due to injury, Nico Wieser took over in goal and fit in seamlessly.
