Strong path at the KAC
The attacker, born in 2007, comes from Klagenfurt and went through the youth department of the
EC-KAC. There he attracted attention with strong scoring values, particularly in the U18 and U20 leagues.
First steps in professional hockey
In the 2025/26 season Waschnig already gained valuable experience in the
ICEHL. He scored 9 points in 44 games – solid numbers for a young player in an adult league.
Opportunity in North America
With the draft by the Buccaneers, Waschnig now has the opportunity to take the next step. The USHL is considered one of the most important youth leagues in North America and is often a stepping stone towards the NCAA or even NHL.
