The Canadian striker
David Morley
is facing a move after being with the
Polar Bears Regensburg
no longer receives a new contract. Despite decent performances in the DEL2, the 35-year-old has to look for a new challenge.
Successful time in the ICEHL near Pustertal
Morley experienced one of his strongest phases two years ago
HC Pustertal in the
ICE Hockey Leaguewhere he collected 39 points in the regular season and was one of the most important offensive players. In the playoffs he improved significantly again and scored a strong 14 points in 14 games.
Productive in Regensburg – especially in crucial games
After moving to the Eisbären, Morley also showed his qualities in the 2024/25 season and scored 41 points in the regular season. He was particularly impressive in the relegation season with 18 points in just 11 games and was a central factor in the decisive part of the season.
Second DEL2 season with goal focus
In the 2025/26 season, Morley demonstrated his finishing strength with 17 goals in 30 games and achieved a total of 30 points. In the playoffs he contributed an additional 5 points, but could not prevent his team from being eliminated.
Future open
Despite continued solid scoring values, Morley does not receive a new contract in Regensburg and is therefore looking for a club.
